NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT (Services.I) DISTRICT SELECTION COMMITTEE (DSC)-2024 AMENDMENT TO THE ANDHRA PRADESH TEACHER RECRUITMENT TEST (TRT) FOR THE POSTS OF SCHOOL ASSISTANTS (SAS) AND SECONDARY GRADE TEACHERS (SGTS) SCHEME OF SELECTION RULES, 2024.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 309 of the Constitution of India read with sub section (3) and (4) of 69, sub- sections (3) and (4) of Section 195 and Section 243 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994) and amendments thereon and third proviso to Section 74 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 (Andhra Pradesh Act 6/1965) and Section 78 and Section 99 of the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982 (Act 1 of 1982), read with sub-section (1) of section 23 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 (Central Act No. 35 of 2009), duly Incorporating the norms and conditions of the eligibility criteria provided by NCTE for the post of teachers, the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following rules for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) for the posts of School Assistants (SAS) and Secondary Grade Teachers. (SGTS) in the schools of Andhra Pradesh.

AMENDMENT
Para 5(ii) of G. O. Ms. No. 11. School Education (Services.I) Department, dt: 12.02.2024 shall be substituted as follows:-

Must possess a gradualitas atleast 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
Note: Who have acquired the qualification of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a Secondary Grade Teacher,provided that the person so appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six months bridge course in Elementary education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as Secondary Grade Teacher.
